1. Note the maximum load capacity of inverter:

Overloading of inverter can heat up your inverter battery. So, reading instruction manual for noting the optimum load capacity of inverter is imperative. At the same time, ensure that the devices run by your inverter don't exceed the maximum load limit.

2. Check your connections:

Faulty connection without and within the battery may cause unusual heating. Basically a loose connection of inverter with the connection of mains and with the battery terminals may also result in extra heating.

3. Safely discharge and recharge your batteries on daily usage:

After some time period, batteries experience electrolyte loss. This results in hardening of electrolyte or chemical decay within the battery. This heat up quickly when put to use. Daily use makes them working properly.
